GASC

Went to the GASC in Chantilly VA this past weekend, and as always had a great time shopping and seeing some new things. And of course time spent with a friend is always a treasure too. Lorraine and I checked out the local scrapbook store called Scrapbook Plus, it was a nice little shop. Then on to more major shopping at the convention, I think we both got some great deals and had fun. To bad we couldn't have hooked up with other ones from the cricut board maybe next time. Here we are waiting in line for them to let us in.

Basket Quilt Card

This was done using the pattern from the paper creations summer magazine. They have several different images for quilt cards, I did add a few other things. I used some ric rac for the handle & front of basket, I used the SU stamp set Hello Blossoms and some paper roses. Thanks for coming by and checking things out.

Pinwheel Quilt Card

I'm loving these quilt cards, they are super easy and quick. They use up some of your scraps and make nice cards too. I'm gonna be posting a few different ones over the next few days. This one turned out a little bigger than I wanted but it still looks nice. I think next time I would cut the shapes at 1.5 inches.

Paper Quilting

I just love the look of handmade quilts, however I have no patience for doing them, but do admire all the work that goes into them. So this is gonna be my version of quilting. I used 2- 21/2 squares for the base and then a SU punch 1 1/4 for the 8 squares alternating the colors. The last one you have to tuck under the first one so don't completely glue that one down, then add a button or brad to center

. The words were cut from Just a note.

Centerstep card

This card was done as a center step. I can see lots of possibilites with this card. I used the embossing folder from the all in one. Used my chalk inks, prima flowers & ric rak, some stickles and a cut form the Just a note cricut cartridge.

Smores Anyone??

Yesterday I had the pleasure of doing some crafting and shopping with Lorraine B. As always it is never a dull moment when we get together, just wish we didn't live so far apart. My friend Rhonda had sent me a box diagram for a smores box so that is the project we decided to do yesterday. We used Campin Critters and Camp out for the front of the box. After coming home I decided to make a thank you card to go along with the smores box. This will be a gift for a friend that truly loves smores.

Every man should learn this lesson.

This is my Rufus he is 18 lbs of solid cat. But he is learning a new trick. He actually puts the seat down. LOL

Hippie Girl

I used copics and a digital stamp image from Sassy Studio Designs.
This little hippie girl definitely will bring on the flashbacks.
