Using my stash for Cards

Trying to make cards with my stash (hoard) you know sometimes it is so hard to use what you have cause it might be the only one and you don't want to get rid of it.  But I have decided it was meant to be used and not hoarded, so Im gonna really try to use my stash then that will give me a reason to buy more. Enjoy the cards, I have had fun actually sitting and crafting the last few days.

Favorite Pieces Duplication

If you are like me when you find a piece that you like and you use it to make several cards, or altered items and you get to the last one you never seem to want to use that last one.  I have found away so that is not a problem any longer.  I used amazing putty can be purchased at Michaels, or Hobby Lobby, not sure if AC Moore carries it.  It is pricey about $20 for the box but so worth it, just use those coupons.  This stuff turns too a rubber silicone mold in minutes.  After placing your image in the clay it will need to set like 20-30 minutes in there after you pop it out and you have a mold of your favorite item.  Use can use the sculpey clay in colors or just use white and then paint your item with acrylic paint. They are super lite so weight wont be an issue for your card making.  Enjoy the  video and don't fret about that being your last item you can make as many as you want now with this wonderful product.  Thanks for watching.

Making My own stamps

Here I used a lot of the Tim Holtz dies that my friend Lorraine had and myself and made my own stamps.  I used the thick fun foam and some plexiglass.  These turned out so great as this was my first time making my own stamps. So now if I don't have the die I can still use the image on my projects.  Thanks for watching the video and check me out on youtube under Scrapngigi  if you are interested in seeing more of my videos.

Goodies, Milk glass, Halloween Card

I got a wonderful chunky charm from my friend Lorraine, and lots of other goodies too.  Did some shopping, which I seem to do more of lately than crafting.  Added to my collection of milk glass and also made a Halloween card.  The Halloween card is a chipboard card and this is a great way to use up all that chipboard that you have in different shapes.  I know I have lots of the books that I have never gotten around to making so this way you can make some awesome cards.  Thanks for looking today sorry it has been so long since I posted.  I have been stalking youtube videos.  If you are interested in seeing all my videos please ccheck me out as Scrapngigi on youtube.  Would love to have more followers there too.

Split Letter A

Used my cameo today to make a split letter A, this was my first attempt at this, I think for the first one it turned out pretty good.  There is a few flaws in this one as my transfer paper was not what  normally use.  I used the letter A from the Regal font which is from the www.Fontspace.com/Aldus/regal.  Thanks for looking hoping to get the hang of this and be able to make more of these.  Thanks for looking.

Mickey's Chipboard Album

This was made with a kit from Archivers that I had purchased awhile back.  Finally decided to use some of the things that I already have on hand.  I really enjoyed making this super easy book.  I have seen so many talented people making the envelope, filefolder and tag books that I thought it was time I tried my hand at making one.  This one is gonna be a gift but I do plan on making more as once you start you just cant stop making them they can be made for so many different occasions.  Thanks for watching the video.  Love hearing from each and every one of my followers.

Graphic 45 Curtin Call

While it has been awhile since I have posted anything, I have been wanting to try my hand at some graphic 45 paper that I got from Big Lots.  So here is my first attempt with this paper line.  I did use the silhouette to cut my beige background on card it is actually a open design envelope and i just folded over some brown paper and glued down, I used glimmer mist on my flowers, some black cardboard for my background papers, and some bling to make it pop alittle.  Inside I used a stamp from my stash and elevated the cardboard at bottom with foam tape to have a place to put my stick pins.  Thanks for stopping by sorry it has been so long, but I'm so thankful for my faithful followers.

Silhouette first cuts

I used my silhouette for the first time and I think I'm gonna be in love with this machine.  It seems to be super easy even right out of the box.  My first cut was these two items a doily and a frame

They were extremely good cuts I thought and super easy to manuever.  My next item was a piano card.  This was a card I had wanted to do for sometime and the card choice was super easy.  I cant wait to learn all the ins and outs of this machine.  I have been watching some videos and find that everyone that has posted a video of this machine has done a wonderful job passing on their knowledge  of the silhouette.  Hopefully I will be doing that soon too.  But for now I think I'm in love, I wont be getting rid of my cricut but I think she will find herself quite content and loved at her new home.
Used a spellbinder die, paper flowers and a stamp from my stash, and some glittered ribbon across the top of the keys.  Thanks for stopping in to see my new toy.

Home Tweet Home

This card is a 6 x 6 card and I just wanted to make something quick to do alittle crafting.  After being gone for a week to Disney I  just wanted something to do instead of trying to figure out how many pictures to print as we only took 2300 pictures.  So this was my distraction project Hope you like it.
I used Inkadinkado stamp called Natures Garden, I colored the image with copics, added a ribbon and some flat back pearls. The brown detailed background is from Joann Fabrics it is called Layers from DAVIDTUTERA Celebrate(it is in the card section where you buy your premade cards) it was an A2 size they come 12 to a set and one piece is like embossed the other is cut out.  I thought they would be great when making quick cards.  I only used the cut out on this card.  Thanks for stopping in. And as nice as Disney was the card says it all.  Home Tweet Home.

All Dressed Up

Todays card was done with the Stampin Up set All dressed up.  My friend Barbie from http://senditagain.blogspot.com/  let me borrow her All Dressed Up set dies and stamps.  So this is what I decided to do with this one.  The card is 6 x 6, the lattice look is a die cut image from cricut it was one of their free cuts for one of the pevious weeks, I also used a card front from a package of zebra cards that I had on hand, along with a spellbinder floral ovals, added some bling cutouts pieces along with gathered a piece of sheer ribbon and stamped the birthday wishes stamp and glued on top of gathered ribbon.  Everybody knows that you should all have that special little black dress for those special occasions.  I think she will be noticed in this this little number thanks for looking.
